The Challenge

Equatre is an integrated sports marketing company that provides compelling, consistent and creative communications through public and media relations as well as digital marketing. They stay atop the most relevant trends and methods to craft strategies that best match the needs of corporations, sports organisations and athletes.

Equatre provides end-to-end services for the sports and lifestyle industry, from live streaming to high quality live sports content production, as well as events management and marketing. They are now looking to build a new platform for sports lovers in Singapore (and in time, other cities), that can connect more viewers to local sports, and enhance the spectating experience through digital interaction. They are now looking for a technology partner who can build the appropriate platform to share sporting content, help foster connections and growth of the sports community, adding value to sports clubs and athletes.

Equatre are looking for:

  • An appropriate app design and interface that can provide digital sports content to users, where they can quickly find and interact with the content of most interest to them:
    • Live-streamed coverage of matches by Equatre, or by other community members, that enhances the spectating experience for those at the match, or makes it possible from home.
    • Viewing recordings of older matches.
    • Local sports news and match results.
    • Details of upcoming events, to support local event organisers to attract and audience and build engagement.
    • Commentary by the platform users (forum style or other).
  • The ability for users to generate and post their own content (clips, comments and other interactions) to the platform for sharing within the community, with appropriate moderation to control harmful content.
  • Easy to use by event organisers to share details of upcoming events and provide coverage of them.
  • An appropriate back-end solution to enable the service to work, using Equatre’s own servers as the main infrastructure.
